CALLIGRAPHY
Saturday, Feb 28, 9AM-3:30PM, BASIC ITALIC,$60 & minimal supplies (includes lunch & handouts, and practice paper) This is a wonderful starting point (or refresher course), for anyone who wants to take a dip into the world of calligraphy. This hand is elegant and classic and is useful in a million ways!!
Saturday, Mar 21, 9AM-3:30PM, POINTED PEN, $60 & minimal supplies (includes lunch, handouts, pracice paper). This waay fun class involves first a look and experimentation with copperplate, the beautiful scripty style of lettering you see in correspondance at the turn of the century. From there we lighten up and go whimsical. It's a happy style you can use for any light hearted communication and the last class that took this walked out with amazing work.
Saturday, March 28, 9AM - 3:30PM, POP CAN PEN, $60 & BYOC (bring your own can)
If you like being wild and crazy, maybe this class is for you. We make our own pens out of pop cans and then practice a very expressive and "loose" style of the alphabet. It might help if you'd some experience before taking this one, but it's not necessary. This kind of calligraphy is one of my absolute favoritest!!!
WATERCOLOR
I'll be offering 3 consecutive watercolor classes taught on Saturday mornings,
9AM - Noon, April 4, 18, 25 (Skipping Easter weekend). The cost is $100, plus materials. The classes can be taken individually (and priced accordingly), but will be designed to go together. Here is a very general outline:
April 4 - Basic techniques, Doing a small landscape together
April 18 - Flowers and Decorative techniques
April 25 - Abtract and Loosening Up
