Yeah! I've received word that my artwork was chosen again this year for the Capitola Begonia Festival Poster. I had such a wonderful time working with everyone last year and decided to give it another try. What a fantastic surprise to find out they chose my piece again for this year's theme. Merci Mattise

Recently I was teaching some of my students about Henri Matisse, one of the most influential french artists of the 1900's. He loved pattern, color and design and believed that a painting was more important as an object of art than as a representation of reality. I wanted to try his style. This painting is partly copy and partly my own. Merci Monsieur Mattise!
